Instructions for use
1. Preparation
Prepare a clean and dry container suitable for candles. Choose an appropriate wick, considering its size relative to the diameter of the container, the dyes used, and the fragrance.
2. Melting
Heat the gel wax carefully, controlling the temperature and stirring periodically. Use a suitable container, preferably stainless steel.
3. Coloring
Add a compatible fat-soluble dye. For some powdered and liquid dyes, the manufacturer describes mixing at approximately 95°C. Stir until evenly distributed.
4. Fragrance
Use suitable non-polar aromatic oils at a concentration of 5–8%. Add the fragrance immediately before pouring, stirring well.
Important: Not all candle fragrances are compatible with gel wax. Incompatible aromatic oils can affect transparency and burning quality.
5. Pouring
For better transparency, the manufacturer indicates an approximate pouring temperature of around 105–110°C.
The temperature can be adjusted according to the container used, dye, fragrance, and desired effect. Higher temperatures may cause bubbles around the wick.
6. Cooling
Allow the finished candle to cool undisturbed at room temperature. Wait at least 48 hours before test ignition.
Important recommendations
- Work with a thermometer and good ventilation.
- Avoid overheating and prolonged heating.
- Use only fragrances and colorants suitable for gel wax.
- Choose the wick carefully – the wrong size can cause smoking, uneven burning, or tunneling.
- Perform a test burn with every new combination of container, fragrance, colorant, and wick.
- Store tightly closed, in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
KERAGEL 6066 is an excellent choice for handmade candle enthusiasts seeking transparency, various decorative effects, and the ability to create original aromatic compositions.
