It is no secret that epoxy resin has a chemical origin containing toxins. However, after the product is fully cured, it is not toxic. If resin gets on the skin, wash it thoroughly under running water with soap.
What happens if the resin drying time has passed, but it is still sticky and not completely dry?
It is possible that the mixing ratios of resin and hardener were not followed. In such a case, the product should be discarded.
The room temperature can also affect the drying time. We recommend the temperature to be around 20 degrees.
What is the technology of working with epoxy resin?
Preliminary preparation is very important for a good final result. The work area must be clean, the product characteristics must be known, safety conditions and instructions must be followed before starting work. Usually, poor results are related to improper mixing of the two components (resin and hardener).
It is important to follow the ratios of the two components (resin and hardener) specified by the manufacturer.
Also, the resin must be used immediately after mixing because the resin curing process is irreversible after adding the hardener.
How should epoxy resin be stored?
- Store in a room with room temperature to avoid crystallization.
- Do not store in direct sunlight.
- Do not store resin and hardener mixed together.
- Store in the original bottles/tubes.
Can we add live flowers and others into the resin?
It is not recommended because the organism is full of oxygen and bubbles will form; also, darkening or yellowing may occur due to the organism’s decay. It is better if decorations are herbarium (dried flowers, dried insects).

Is it possible to color epoxy resin?
Yes, epoxy resin can be colored. Coloring is done using powdered pigments, liquid colorants, and glitters.
